Kids scald fast. Cool it first.

Scalds are burns typically caused by hot liquids or foods. As the cold weather continues and we turn to hot chocolate and warm baths to warm up, we need to be aware of the risks for scalds to adults and youth.

Children have thinner skin than adults, causing them to scald faster and deeper at lower temperatures. To avoid serious scalds, it is important to understand the dangers of scalds happening at home and at places you may visit.
